Barış Akademisyenleri’nin barış çağrısından bu yana tam on yıl geçti. Geride bıraktığımız bu on yıl, verilen mücadele, kurulan dayanışma ağları ve paylaşılan tüm duygularla hepimiz için hem tarihsel hem de kişisel anlamlar taşıyor. Bu on yılı birlikte anmak, dertleşmek, düşünmek, dayanışmayı büyütmek ve birlikte eğlenmek için düzenlediğimiz 10. yıl etkinliğine sizleri davet ediyoruz.
Hepimize iyi geleceğine inandığımız zengin bir program hazırladık. Etkinliğimiz Engelnest’te gerçekleşecek; mekân, dolu dolu bir gün geçirebilmemiz için geniş bir alan sunuyor. Türkiye’den dostlarımızın katılımıyla açılış gerçekleştirecek ve bu süreçte ortaya çıkan kurumları, deneyimleri ve birikimleri birlikte konuşacağız. Ardından “Geçtiğimiz On Yıla Bakış” başlıklı forum/yuvarlak masa oturumunda süreci hatırlayacak; bugün nerede durduğumuzu ve geleceğe dair düşüncelerimizi paylaşacağız.
Bu on yılda hepimizin hayatı değişti; bu süreçten belki de en çok etkilenenler BAK’ın çocukları oldu. Onların seslerini duyabilmek için programa özel bir bölüm ekledik ve kendilerini ifade etmeleri için çocuklarımızı da davet ediyoruz. Bu daveti çocuklarınıza da iletirseniz çok seviniriz. Ayrıca forumun yanı sıra bir açık mikrofon bölümümüz olacak; şiir okumak, şarkı söylemek, stand-up yapmak ya da farklı katkılar sunmak isteyen herkesi sahneye davet ediyoruz.
Programımız yalnızca konuşmalardan ibaret değil. Gülcan Küçük’den bir Anadolu halk dansını hep birlikte öğreneceğimiz bir dans atölyesi, Deniz Kılınçoğlu’ndan küçük bir konser, ve ardından canlı müzik ve DJ performansları (Sema Alper, Xristina) eşliğinde dans edip şarkılar söyleyeceğimiz keyifli bir öğleden sonra ve akşam planladık.
Gün boyunca ana programa paralel olarak sergiler, buluşma alanları ve çeşitli standlar açık olacak. Örneğin, Göç Notları podcast ekibi gün içinde isteyenlerle röportajlar yaparak bu buluşmayı belgesel niteliğinde bir çalışmaya dönüştürmeyi hedefliyor. Son on yıl içinde BAK’ın içinden doğan kurumların izini süren dijital haritamız, dost kurumların standları ve belgesel gösterimlerimiz ziyaretçilere açık olacak. Bu dönemde ürettiğiniz her türlü yazılı, görsel, sözlü ya da müziksel çalışmalarınıza standımızda yer vermekten mutluluk duyacağız. Ayrıca önerilerinize de açığız: “Şunu da unutmamak lazım” ya da “ben de bunu yaptım” dediğiniz ne varsa bizimle paylaşın, programa dahil edelim.
On yıl sonra bir araya gelmek; konuşmak, gülmek, hatırlamak, düşünmek, dayanışmak ve eğlenmek için buluşuyoruz. Etkinliğimiz tüm Barış Akademisyenlerine, dostlarımıza ve dayanışma gösteren herkese açıktır.

10th Anniversary of our Call for Peace
Invitation to our Gathering and Solidarity Event

It has been exactly ten years since the Academics for Peace issued their call for peace. This past decade has been marked by struggle, solidarity networks, and shared emotions, and holds both historical and personal significance for us all. We invite you to our 10th anniversary event which we organize to commemorate and to reflect together these past ten years, to share our concerns and to strengthen our solidarity, and to have fun together.
We have prepared a rich program that we believe will be good for all of us. Our event will take place at Engelnest. The venue offers a spacious area for us to enjoy a full day. The event will open with the participation of our friends from Turkey with whom we will discuss the organizations, experiences, and knowledge gained during this process. Then, in a forum/roundtable discussion titled “A Decade in Review,” we will look back on the process, share where we stand today, and discuss our thoughts about the future.
Our lives have all changed over these ten years. Perhaps those most affected by this process have been the children of Peace Academics. We have added a special section to the program to hear their voices and invite our children to express themselves. We would be delighted if you could pass this invitation on to your children. In addition to the forum, we will have an open mic section; we invite anyone who wants to read poetry, sing songs, do stand-up, or make other contributions to take the stage.
Our program is not just about talks. We have planned a fun afternoon and evening with a dance workshop where we will learn an Anatolian folk dance together with Gülcan Küçük, a short concert by Deniz Kılınçoğlu, and then dancing and singing along to live music and DJ performances (Sema Alper, Xristina).
Throughout the day, exhibitions, meeting areas, and various stands will be open alongside the main program. For example, the Göç Notları podcast team aims to turn this gathering into a documentary-style project by interviewing interested participants during the day. Our digital map tracing the institutions that have emerged from Academics for Peace over the past decade, stands from partner organizations, and documentary screenings will be available to visitors. We will be delighted to feature any written, visual, spoken, or musical work you have produced during this period at our booth. We are also open to your suggestions: share anything you think we should include, such as “we shouldn’t forget this” or “I did this too,” and we will incorporate it into the program.
We are gathering to come together ten years later; to talk, laugh, remember, reflect, show solidarity, and have fun. Our event is open to all Peace Academics, our friends, and everyone who is in solidarity.
